«AGROSTAR» COMPANY OFFERS FUJI APPLES FROM UKRAINE
FUJI APPLES are the successful cross of two American varieties, the Red Delicious and Virginia Ralls Janet. They were named after Fujisaki, the location of the research center - Tohoku Research Station in Fujisaki (Japan), where they were developed in the late 1930s. The apples were introduced to the market in the 1960s. Since then, they have grown into one of todayâs most popular varieties.
Fuji apple is surely one of the more attractive modern apple varieties. Its main characteristic is the lovely pink speckled flush over a yellow-green background. The Fujiâs interior creamy white flesh is dense, juicy, and crisp. Low in acid, the flavour is mild yet very sweet with hints of both honey and citrus.
The sweetest apple, Fuji apples are also usually the last one off the trees. That makes it a firm, good storing variety, as well.
The Fuji apples are exnt in salads and for fresh eating, and also perform well in baking and applesauce. Fuji apples are also great storing apples, and because of that, are available almost year-round.
