Canning is a method of preserving food in which the food contents are processed and sealed in an airtight container. Canned food is a good choice if you must buy fruits or vegetables out of season, and sometimes it is cheaper to buy them canned anyway. Canned food is also more practical than frozen food, especially for storing and transporting it. Canned food becomes an ally of homes because of the lack of time because they allow us to prepare a plate of a spoon or a snack quickly. We just have to heat in the microwave for a few minutes or open a can of preserves. Canned foods are practical and often get us out of a hurry. The nutritional content of canned foods is quite similar and sometimes even higher than that of fresh foods themselves. For example, in the case of fruits and vegetables, if the length of time between the harvest until it reaches supermarket shelves or our table is very large, it can cause them to lose many of their nutrients in addition to their flavor and texture.
