It provides the following services, • Procurement of local shea nuts in accordance with customers’ required specifications • Management of local shea nuts warehouses • Packaging of shea nuts in accordance with best practice and standards • Organsing transportation from producers to storages and from warehouses to shipping for exports • Export of shea nuts to external customers as stipulated in the contractual agreements Source of Raw Materials The shea trees are small tropical African trees which bears oily nuts from which shea butter can be extracted. The processed shea kernels can be used in a wide range of applications. These trees grow naturally in the Northern region of Ghana. The shea trees are part of regional flora and there is no need for plantation and deforestation. They are presently environmentally sustainable. Estimates of Annual Production The local region can produce annually about 5000 tonnes of shea nuts.
