Finca Jerusalen = TOP Specialty Coffee = RAINFOREST COFFEE company

The mountain farm Finca Jerusalen was established in 1869 and is located in Honduras, near the town of Trinidad, in the Santa Barbara region. Coffee cultivation on this farm has been passed down from father to son, with the most recent in the armers being Jose Francisco Cuellar Fajardo.

The farm covers an area of 120 hectares and is situated at an elevation of 1400-1650 meters in a tropical mountain rainforest, and the GESHA variety was first cultivated by the farmer's grandfather, a tradition successfully continued by our farmer. Every year, hundreds of new coffee trees are planted. Thanks to the unique mountain rainforest conditions, the GESHA variety thrives on this farm. The trees are healthy and yield beautiful cherries. Coffee trees are planted among native tropical trees, citrus trees, and banana plants. This provides the coffee with ideal conditions for growing in shade and semi-shade, allowing the coffee to naturally absorb all the necessary nutrients from the soil without the need for fertilizers. These specific and natural conditions result in the coffee cherries having fresh citrus and fruity notes, for which our GESHA is renowned.

Upon request, we can send you samples of individual coffee varieties for quality control and evaluation. We can also arrange video conferences or extend a personal invitation to visit us, or vice versa.

We can also release a few remaining tons of Arabica Blend Honduras Finca Jerusalen SCA 89 (washed Parainema, Lempira, and IHCafe90).

RAINFOREST COFFEE Import is a company established by farmer Jose Francisco Cuellar Fajardo to continually improve the processes on Finca Jerusalen farm related to harvesting, from green coffee processing on the plantation to fermentations, subsequent processing at the processing facility, and packaging in GrainPro and jute bags. We oversee the coffee loading directly in Honduras and its global transportation. We have a large distribution warehouse in the EU – Czech Republic, from which we import to the whole world, while also shipping entire containers directly from Honduras to customers worldwide.

GESHA is a young, mysterious Arabica coffee variety. Originally from Ethiopia (Gori Gesha forest), it spread to a few countries in the 20th century, especially in the central and southern parts of the American continent. Only the beans grown between 1400-1900 meters above sea level exhibit the taste characteristics that make it highly valued worldwide. It is an exceptional Speciality Coffee, the queen of coffees, capable of a wide range of unique aromas and flavors, such as jasmine, roses, honey, caramel, red berries with mango, apple with peach, or orange with lime or bergamot. It has a balanced taste, is thickly creamy, and delicate, truly unique. The art of the roaster plays a significant role in refining and combining these flavors.

Orders for our Specialty Coffee from Honduras for the 2023/2024 harvest are currently being accepted. We are happy to reserve the agreed-upon quantity of specific Specialty Coffee in your preferred fermentation. The next harvest of 2023/2024 is approaching, and we can reserve max double of above mentioned quantity (about 50 tons) for another new buyers. Naturally, we have additional larger quantities of coffee for our other businesses. The closure of the next harvest, the issuance of certificates, SCA, etc., will be around the 2-3/2024 timeframe. We are also currently accepting orders from buyers for the next harvest in 2023/2024 as well.

The Finca Jerusalen & RAINFOREST COFFEE Import team looks forward to collaborating with you, and we hope your customers thoroughly enjoy the uniqueness of our Specialty Coffee.
