Uniflora Propolis Extracts are made with 100% Brazilian Green Propolis that is highly concentrated and considered one of the best of the world. It is obtained from controlled raw propolis, collected in areas free of contamination, using equipment developed to maximize the extraction process.
There are two main reasons for this. First is the type of bees, in Brazil we work with the Africanized Honey Bee (apis melifera scutelata). This special kind of bees has a different way to collect propolis in the plants. If there are 2 types of bees in an area, Africanized Honey Bees and European Honey Bees, they will produce different kinds of propolis.
The second reason is the bio diversity of Brazilian flora. In North Hemisre propolis is produced mainly by 2 types of plants. In Brazil, Propolis is found in more than 300 different types of plants.
Research done in Japan and Brazil shows that the Green Type Propolis, which is produced in some areas of Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais in Brazil, contain the most nolic compounds. These compounds are very important in protecting the hive from many diseases. These compounds include the flavonoids, esters, and especially Artepillin C.
