Onions form the base of many dishes. Intrestingly, Onions are vegetables, even though rarely taken as such. Onions as we commonly know from experience makes our taste buds to tingle when eaten or consumed raw; as is.

Surprisingly enough, Onions go to a greater length to contribute to our health and general body wellness. Onions are high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants while being low in calories.

Onions contain nutrients such as Sodium, potassium, foliates, vitamins A, C, and E, calcium, magnesium, and srus. Onions vary in size, shape, color, and flavor. The most common types are red, brown, and white onions; and the taste can range from sweet and juicy to sharp, spicy, and pungent, often depending on the season in which people grow and consume them.
