This is not the main problem. The main problem is that there are incredible bug in their website / UI workflow related to identify verification / login / oauth / redirection from Coinbase to Coinbase pro etc.
Many customers are stuck in an endless cycle which makes no sense: like submitting documents only to have the site tell them their ok but then that they need to submit again.
Now I take it Coinbase, pre IPO, doesn't want to admit their software devs royally screwed up the whole process.
What I suspect is that they've got a manual fix and that that's what support is doing: manually setting some account settings to "ok" and that it doesn't scale.
It would be nice is instead they were to acknowledge the real problem: the buggyness of their site, which they certainly introduced at some point after adding some new code.
Their very own documentation on identity verification is proof that their workflow is buggy: "empty your browser's cache" (that one is amateur hour), "wait 30 minutes before trying again" (such limits should be in the website itself, warning the user that h
