Pink Himalayan (edible) salt, a premium-priced culinary salt and a type of gourmet salt, naturally beef red coloured, is mined only from Kalabagh Salt mines in Pakistan near the Himalayan Mountains of South Asia.
This rock salt becomes naturally pink in color when crushed into small particles. Due to its extra trace minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, chromium, magnesium and sulfateâit's considered to be a much healthier salt than regular table salt worldwide.
