African wild mango (Irvingia gabonensis) is a tree native to West Africa. The seed is used in preparation of various dishes and as well used to make health supplement. It is widely used as weight loss supplement.

The seed is rich in vitamins and minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium, srus, and sodium. In addition, it provides soluble fiber, antioxidants, and plant protein. It’s also known as bush mango, wild mango, dika nut, ogbono and apon
