Calendaring is used to manufacture firmer plastic films, sheets, and coating materials, i.e., rolls of vinyl or PVC that you might on your vinyl or plotter cutter, or shopping bags that goes through additional processes to heat seal sets per calendar sheets of polyethylene together. But obviously the sheets itself, the shopping bags are calendared. The stages of the process start with a large amount of plastic dough is fed through the feed rollers and goes through a series of gap or nip rollers to see how thick the plastic is coming out. Then the plastic goes through the tension roller to make sure it doesn't sag or cause problems in the actual final product.
