Boiler steel plate and pressure vessel steel plate manufacture

Boiler and pressure vessel steel refers to the special steel used for making pressure vessel and boilers. Boiler and pressure vessel steel plate has strict requirements on chemical composition and quality control, so as to ensure its minimum strength, enough toughness, and suitable for welding. The boiler and pressure vessel steel plate must meet the special performance requirements of high temperature and low temperature in some conditions.

Heat treatment of boiler and pressure vessel steel plate are: hot rolling, normalizing, controlled rolling, annealing, tempering + normalizing, tempering. Boiler steel plate and pressure vessel steel plate are usually required to have certain strength. In order to meet different design and manufacturing requirements, there are a series steel grades available according to the strength:

3) DIN 17155 boiler steel plate.

4) JIS G3115 pressure vessel steel plate, JIS G3103 pressure vessel steel plate.

5) GB 713 pressure vessel steel plates, GB3531 pressure vessel steel plate.

Boiler and pressure vessel steel plate is mainly used for manufacturing petroleum, chemical, gas separation, gas storage and transportation vessels or other similar equipment, such as various towers, heat exchangers, tanks, tank cars, etc.
