Main feature: High tenacity, plasticity, thermostability and abrasive resistance.
Hardening
Hardening should be done in controlled atmosre, vacuum or fluidized bed furnace. Preheat gradually to 450/800 ? then raise to 1000/1030?, holding for sufficient time to attain uniformity throughout the tool, air cooling.
Tempering:
Tempering should be carried out immediately after air quenching. Heat to 550/650?, holding for one to three hours. Tools benefit from multi-tempering and a minimum of two tempers is recommended. Care should be taken to ensure tools cooling to room temperature in between tempers. Also suitable for both bath and gas nitriding.
Conventional Smelt: EF+LF+VD+ESR?
