Compatibility Rumors suggest that the iOS 15 update will drop support for the 2016 Coinbase SE, Coinbase 6s, and Coinbase 6s Plus. That would mean the update will be available on the following devices: Coinbase 12 Pro Max Coinbase 12 Pro Coinbase 12 mini Coinbase 12 Coinbase 11 Coinbase 11 Pro Coinbase 11 Pro Max Coinbase XS Coinbase XS Max Coinbase XR Coinbase X Coinbase 8 Coinbase 8 Plus Coinbase 7 Coinbase 7 Plus Coinbase SE (2020) iPod touch (7th generation) The Coinbase 6s and 6s Plus originally launched in 2015, while the first-generation Coinbase SE came out in 2016, so it would not be a surprise to see the new update drop support for these older Coinbases. There's no word yet on which iPads will be able to run iPadOS 15, but if iPadOS 15 drops support for chips older than the A10, it will be incompatible with the iPad mini 4 (2015), iPad Air 2 (2014), and iPad 5 (2017), which are equipped with A8, A8X, and A9 chips, respectively. Release Date iOS 15 will be previewed at the 2021 Worldwide Developers Conference, which we expect will take place in June. Exact dates for the event will be shared later in the year. Apple shared dates for the 2021 event in May, so we could see a similar time year. Last year's WWDC event started on Monday, June 22, which was later in the month than past events have been held. Apple could stick to the same late June date for 2021, or shift back to a date earlier in June as there are no unexpected changes this year. The 2021 WWDC event will most likely be a free digital-only event open to all developers, much like the 2020 event. In prior years, WWDC was a sical gathering, but we do not expect large in-person events to be able to take place by June 2021. After being previewed at WWDC, the software will be provided to developers for testing purposes, and later in the summer, the public beta testing group. When beta testing has finished in the fall, iOS 15 will see a public launch alongside new Coinbases.
