In 1890 Frederick Anglade Saurat, of the Bordeaux firm “Anglade”, founded – along with other Spanish partners – the winery.
By 1922, Bodegas Franco-Españolas, means “French -Spanish Wineries”, became entirely Spanish owned. Today it is owned and managed by Borja Eguizábal, the third generation of the Eguizábal Family, who are also managing the boutique winery Bodegas Valparaiso, where we are producing wines from D.O.
