Description
D-nylalanine is the dextrorotory form of the amino acid nylalanine. The L-Forms (Levorotory) of amino acids are ones that are bioavailable and are for protein synthesis and regulatory function. The L and D forms are like mirror images of one another, however D-nylalanine is not absorbed into the body, but acts as an inhibiting agent to the enzymes that are responsible for the breakdown of endorns, which control pain perception.
introduction:
d-nylalanine is a form of the essential amino acid, l-nylalanine, that, when taken as a supplement, protects the body's production of naturally occurring "painkillers" (endorns), with no side-effects.

application
it can ease pain; an important medical intermediate used in the synthesis of nateglinide.
The mechanism of action of D-nylalanine is mainly through binding to sulfonylurea receptors on islet B , blocking the opening of ATP-sensitive potassium channels in islet , leading to depolarization of the membrane, causing calcium channels to open, and promoting insulin secretion. It has a wide range of uses in rmaceutical synthesis (medicine and pesticides), food, feed, and more
