The material has unique properties and can be pressed into thin and wide strips, suitable for various irregular surfaces that replace cut gaskets in various routine and severe service applications. It will not deteriorate over time, is unaffected by common chemicals, and can withstand pressures up to 3000 psi and temperatures from -450° to 600°F (-268° to 316°C). This unique material is highly compressible and fills severe irregularities in sealing surfaces.
