A hollow cone nozzle sprays fluids in a ring-like pattern around a given radius, which produces a good interface between air and the surface of the droplets. When you require a small droplet size with capacity, these nozzles fill the bill.
The hollow cone spray type is essentially a circular liquid ring, which is usually formed by Flow chamber/cavity tangent at fluid inlet or an internal slotted blade which is close to the upstream of the nozzle orifice.
The most commonly used nozzle type in industry is the Full Cone nozzle, whose spray type coverage area is a a full circle of droplets. The nozzle emits spray in a conical shape by dispersing liquid over the coneâs interior. When the spray meets with a surface, a circle of spray is created with liquid present throughout.
