Rayon is also known by the name viscose in the United Kingdom. Rayon is absorbent and has soft and smooth touch. It is a perfect alternative to silk and linings, especially for tailoring and outerwear. Rayon fibers are naturally bright but can be given a matte finish. Rayon loses up to half its strength when wet; therefore, it is best dry-cleaned.
