Selection Guide electromagnetic flow meter

2. Preliminary selection

(2) According to the understanding of the nature of the medium, to determine the electrode material

Note; the company generally provides stainless steel, Hastelloy, titanium and tantalum four kinds of electrodes, the choice of which electrode should be based on the nature of the media check the relevant information manual

(2) According to the temperature of the medium to determine the use of rubber or PTFE lining (determined by the salesman)

Note: rubber temperature shall not exceed 80C;

PTFE temperature 150C, an instant resistance to 180C;

Urban sewage can generally be rubber- stainless steel electrodes

(3) According to the learned media pressure, select the form body flange specifications (determined by the salesman)

Note: The specifications of the electromagnetic flange is usually when the diameter from DN10-250, the flange rated pressure ≤1.6Mpa;

When the diameter from DN250-1000, the flange rated pressure ≤ 1.0Mpa;

When the actual medium pressure is higher than the above diameter - pressure corresponding range, for special orders, but the maximum pressure shall not exceed 6.4Mpa

(4) Determine the conductivity of the medium

Note: (1) Electromagnetic flowmeter conductivity of not less than 5uS / cm

(2) tap water conductivity of about dozens to hundreds of uS / cm, general boiler soft water (deionized water) conductive, pure water (highly distilled water) is not conductive

(3) The conductivity of gases, oils and most organic liquids is much lower than 5uS / cm and is not electrically conductive.
