Typical lamella clarifier design consists of a series of inctes framework component. The Lamella clarifier works when a solid/liquid stream that has been flocculated, enters a tank, and flows upward between a pack of inctes. The solids fall to the plate surface, where they slide by gravity down to a sludge collection hopper. The clarified effluent flows through orifice holes and exits the top of the settler. At the bottom of the vessel a hopper or funnel collects these particles as sludge. The sludge may be continuously or intermittently discharged. Above the inctes , all particles have been settled and the clarified water is produced, which is drawn off into an outlet channel. The clarified water was discharged .
