Principle:
KAIDE Magnetic Powder Brake is composed of drive unit (input shaft) and driven unit (output shaft) combined. The space between the two units is filled with granular magnetic particles (about 40 microns across). When the magnetic coil is not conductive, the torque will not be transferred from the drive shaft to the driven shaft, but if the coil is electromagnetically energized, it will attract magnetic powder to produce hardening nomenon due to the action of magnetic force, and the torque will be transmitted between continuous sliding. Magnetic powder brake is a superior performance of the automatic control components. It USES magnetic powder as working medium and excitation current as controlling means to control braking or transfer torque. Its output torque has a good lationship with the excitation current and has nothing to do with the speed or slip, and has the advantages of fast response and simple structure.
