Motor bits are designed for a wide range of drilling applications. Designing these bits involves high-end technology and engineering calculation in advanced software systems. Sealed bearings, optimum cutting structure and complex body protection provide exnt performance.
DESIGN FEATURES
Sealed friction bearing with O-ring, using intermediary washer and bushing made of wear-resistant material and silver plated. For extended operation in high-speed BHA applications.
A TCI on the bit journal is designed to remove cuttings from the cone base surface and prevent cuttings from getting into the clearance between the leg and the cone thus reducing their wear.
Conical TCI are used cutting and chipping action, they have higher wear-resistance when used in medium brittle formations.
Double row of TCI on the gage relief are designed for increasing the area between the borehole and the reamers, using this option improves borehole quality and extends cone life.
Shirttail hardfacing is made to increase leg wear-resistance in its most vulnerable area.
Leg leading edge is hardfaced to prevent leg wear on the side of the cuttings transport.
TCI on the shirttail protect its early wear.
TCI along the leg leading edge prevent leg wear on the side of the cuttings transport.
Central nozzle (in addition to side nozzles) improves bottom hole cleaning, prevents cuttings re-grinding and bit balling.
