Advent Silica HS-1430
Colloidal Silica
Product Description
HS-1430 Colloidal Silica is an alkaeous dispersion of colloidal silica with 29-31% silica (SiO2) by weight with an average particle size from 10 to 16 nm. The silica dispersion is sodium stabilized, with a value ranging from 9.0 to 10.5. The sical appearance of HS-1430 is a translucent liquid, slightly more viscous than water.

Applications
HS-1430 is a versatile colloidal silica with a small-to-intermediate particle size designed for universal purposes, offering exnt stability and exceptional cost-effectiveness across various applications. It stands out as one of our most versatile products, thanks to its well-balanced particle size, grade, and silica concentration, ensuring stability and compatibility with a broad range of applications. Its end markets include investment casting, ceramic polishing, refractories, concrete, coatings, textiles, petrochemical catalyst supports, gel batteries, and more.Â
HS-1430 acts as an effective binder for metals, oxides, and ceramic fibers in investment casting, ceramics, and concrete, enhancing the thermal and mechanical shock resistance of the materials it binds. Additionally, HS-1430 can increase durability, cohesive strength, and adhesion to substrates in coatings and adhesives.

Safety & Handling
Review the corresponding Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before handling. Colloidal silica is a synthetic amorus silica dispersed in a stable form in water. Colloidal silica is not classified as harmful but mildly irritating. Protective gloves should always be used before handling and the use of protective glasses is strongly recommended. In case of skin or eye wash / rinse the area with plenty of water and seek professional medical help if needed. Â
