Lithium carbonate is mainly used for the production of lithium and other lithium compounds. In recent twenty

years, lithium carbonate has been widely used to produce positive electrode materials of lithium batteries.

Lithium carbonate, an inorganic compound known as Li2CO3 ,with the

density of 2.11 g/cm3 and melting point of 723 ℃ (1.013 * 10 ^ 5 pa), a

colorless mono-clinic crystal or white powder, soluble in dilute acid, slightly soluble in water,insoluble in alcohol and acetone. Its solubility

in cold water larger than hot water.Lithium carbonate is the key product of lithium. It can be widely used to make semiconductor, enamel glass, lithium metal smelting, alloy of lithium aluminum, medicine and so on.
