The fin strip is wound spirally onto the tube and welded continuously to the tube along the spiral root. The strong connection between the fin and base tube, use at very high temperatures possible.
Materials:
- Base tube: Carbon Steel, Low Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloys, Nickel Alloys
- Fins: Carbon Steel, Low Alloy Steel, Ferritic Stainless Steel, Austenitic Stainless Steel
Fields of application:
Fired Heaters, Heat Exchangers, Boilers, Pre-Heaters, Coolers, Heat Pipes, Dryers, and Heaters.
Manufacturing process:
The fin strip is spirally wound onto the tube and welded continuously to the tube along the spiral foot. Welding process: HF, SF, TIG, MIG, MAG.
Advantages:
The strong connection between the fin and the base tube prevents the loosening of the fin due to heat stress, oxidization, corrosion, etc. Use at very high temperatures possible.
