On the obverse of 2023 American Gold Eagle Coins, you will find an image of Liberty. Designed in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, this visual shows Liberty in front-facing relief with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Surrounded by a ring of stars, Liberty is featured alongside the U.S. Capitol Building as sun rays silhouette her figure.
The reverse side of the 2023 1/10 oz Gold Eagle features a modernized depiction of the bald eagle. The new visual in this series shows the head of the bald eagle in left-profile relief with incredible detail in the sical features of the bird.
