Cas/span>® WH foam core has been specifically designed for aerospace application, such as fairing and middle section of launch vehicle. It can also be used in back pressure frame of large civil plane due to its exnt mechanical properties. In the helicopters, Cas/span>® WH has been mainly used in main & tail rotor blades and fuselage panelsetc.
Cas/span>® WH can take curing temperature up to 130°C and pressure up to 0.3MPa. After heat treatment, Cas/span>® WH can even be cured at temperature of 180°C and at pressure of 0.7MPa.
Cas/span>® WH core makes it possible to produce sandwich components in a single step (co-curing), resulting in reduced overall production time.
Cas/span>® WH is highly suitable with autoclave technologies and vacuum infusion processes, including RTM and VARTM processes.
