Our alkyl sulfates are anionic surfactants in which an alitic alcohol is sulfated and then neutralized with a base to most commonly produce the sodium salt and, less commonly, other salt forms such as the ammonium salt. The most widely used form of alkyl sulfate is sodium dodecyl sulfate.
