We offer sealing solutions for pumps including deals, rings, gaskets and other elastomeric compounds.How Pump Seal WorkThe main components in a pump are the casing, impeller, backing plate, shaft and shaft seal, and the motor adapter. With a mechanical seal you have a rotating seal which is sealed to and rotates with the pump shaft and a stationary seat the rotating seal rubs against. A pump seal works though the use of two very flat lapped faces, which make it difficult for leakage to occur. As mentioned above, one face is stationary and one rotates with the shaft. One of the two faces is usually a wear-resistance material such as carbon. The other will be a harder material providing dissimilar materials making and allowing one to be a sacrificial. The softer pump seal face usually has the smaller mating surface and is commonly called the "wear nose" of the mechanical Seal.Wide Range of Usages & ApplicationsWSI pressure seals are offered in various types such like type E, type F, type N and type DG. They are widely used in pumps for agriculture, water treatment, chemical industry, construction, refinery and food industry etc. With high performance materials, some designs are incorporated with a backup ring to reinforce the sealing lip and some designs with PTFE bonded sealing lip to reduce shaft abrasion.
