"Chinkin" is a technique in which a pattern is carved with a chisel, lacquer is applied to the engraved place, and then gold powder or colored powder is shaken off from above.
When the excess powder is removed, the remained powder on the lacquer makes the tray's pattern.
This tray is a bit strong black "Tamenuri". The characteristic color is slightly appearing on top of the rim. It is gradually reddish as the peculiar color of "Tamenuri".
The size is approximate. Do not use a dishwasher, microwave, oven, etc. Do not expose to direct fire. Do not use a scrubbing brush or abrasive. You can use a neutral detergent.
