Reverse Engineering is a process of generating CAD model from the 3D scanned data even it has any kind of complex or freeform geometry. It can be done by either As-Built (maintaining the accuracy with respect to scanned data) or As-Designed modeling method (maintaining the perfect CAD design procedure).

The Reverse Engineered CAD helps for the recreation of the scanned component or to modify the existing design of the component. Scan to CAD conversion is not a “One Click” option that many think it is. It’s a complex process which is purely depending on the designers' skills.
