When the tunnel boring machine (TBM) is used for construction of subway tunnel, railway tunnel, water tunnel and urban underground pipeork, the cutter head protective knife is installed on the periry of the cutter head to protect the periry of the cutter head from excessive wear. It is generally long striped. Wear resistant layer with high strength and good wearing resistance is overlaid on the cutter body. Alloy cutter tooth or column tooth is also arranged.
