Lurasidone is an atypical antipsychotic that has a unique chemical structure compared to other existing antischizoenia drugs and is believed to have affinity for D2, serotonin (5-HTChemicalbook2A) and (5-HT 7) receptors and antagonistic effects in these receptors. Furthermore, lurasidone had a partial agonistic effect on the serotonin (5-HT 1 A) receptor and had no significant affinity for histamine H1 or muscarinic M1 receptors.
