Rifeng® A is a closed-rigid foam base on Polymethacrylimide (PMI) polymer, that is completely free of CFC’s. It's with Coarse Size. Exnt machinability and surface adhesion, As sandwich structure material, it has good fastness to be combined with skin.

Rifeng® A has been designed for use primarily in aerospace applications. Its outstanding properties make it an ideal material solution for aircraft components, including stringer structures in pressure bulkheads. This structural foam is also suitable for helicopter applications and is frequently used in the main and tail rotor blades, as well as fuselage panels.

Processing and Production

Rifeng® A foam is suitable for both prepreg processing and vacuum infusion. The processing temperature from 130℃ up to 180℃ and maximum pressure up to 0.7 MPa. Curing method options include autoclave, vacuum bagged, RTM, VARTM and press, etc. Using a Rifeng® core makes it possible to produce sandwich components in a single step (co-curing), resulting in reduced overall production time.

Weight Saving

When building composite sandwich components, lightweight Rifeng® A has a closed structure that ensures the resin stays exactly where you want it – in the interface. This eliminates excess and unnecessary resin that adds undesirable weight to the finished part.

Thermoforming and Shaping

Rifeng® A can be easily thermoformed or CNC machined to meet customer requirements. High precision, pre-shaped and ready-to-use foam cores in simple or complex geometries can also be supplied by us.
