Rifeng® WF is a closed-rigid PMI foam base on Polymethacrylimide (PMI) polymer, that is completely free of CFC’s. It's light yellow with Medium Size.

Rifeng® WF is the most cost-effective industrial grade product in our range of rigid foams. With exnt mechanical property and is suitable for a wide variety of applications.

Rifeng® WF PMI foam core material can deliver an ideal solution for sports and leisure equipment. It provides exnt bending stiffness and strength, and stabilization of the very thin FRP sheets that face extreme external forces. Outstanding tensile load and a high tenacity characteristic, make it the perfect choice for sports and leisure equipment which with substantial dynamic mechanical loads.

Rifeng® WF PMI foam is self-extinguishing. As a structural core material, particularly suitable for applications in rail vehicles and watercraft.

Rifeng® WF PMI structural foam cores also ideal choice for wind energy industry. It provides all the stiffness, robustness and durability required in composite structures at a fraction of the weight of other core materials. Even with a low density, Rifeng® WF provide exnt mechanical properties, reduces the weight of wind turbine blades and the manufacturing costs.

Processing and Production

Rifeng® WF is suitable for fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) prepreg processing and vacuum infusion at temperatures up to 130 °C. Curing method include autoclave, RTM, VARTM and press.

Using a Rifeng® WF PMI foam core material makes it possible to produce sandwich components in a single step (co-curing), resulting in reduced overall production time.

Weight Saving

When building composite sandwich components, lightweight Rifeng® WF has a closed structure that ensures the resin stays exactly where you want it – in the interface. This eliminates excess and unnecessary resin. Less resin take-up during part processing means lower final part weight and reduced overall cost.

Thermoforming and Shaping

Rifeng® WF can be easily thermoformed or CNC machined to meet customer requirements. High precision, pre-shaped and ready-to-use foam cores in simple or complex geometries can also be supplied by us.
