In the rmaceutical field, it is often used as raw material of acetylsalicylic acid; N-nylacetamide; 2,4–dichloroacetonone; 4-nylacetonone; Acetazolamide; 2-Acetylfuran; 2-Acetylthione; 3-Acetylthianahene; 1,1'-Diacetylferrocene, N-Acetylthiourea; 1,4-Nahalenedicarboxylicacid; 2-Acetyl-6-methoxynahalene; Trinylmethanol; 4-Ethylbenzoic acid; Acetylchoride; bromadiolone; nabumetone; paracetamol and ibuprofen.
