Sandalwood oil (Santalum album ):
With antiseptic and soothing qualities, sandalwood is also known as an aodisiac. It lends a sense of calm and can ease PMT. Use as a facial massage to treat flaky, irritated complexions or acne.
Sandalwood tree - Description:
the evergreen sandalwood tree grows to a height of up to 8m in Indonesia , south east asia and in east India . The syrupy, balsamic oil is extracted from roughly chipped and powdered wood by steam distillation. It has a rich, warm, woody odour. It is used as a fixative in perfumes and gives the lingering classic base notes in many expensive fragrances.
Usage of sandalwood oil:
1. Massage:carrier oil 10 ~ 15 ml + 2 ~ 10 drops of essential oil,gently massage until fully absorbed.
2. Direct inhalation:drip 1 drop of oil in the palm, or paper towel, then take a deep breath.
3. Vaporisation:drip 3-5 drops of oilin the aromatherapy machine, and then light it to give out fragrance.
4. Air freshing:drip 8 ~ 10 drops of oil in 100ml distilled water, and then spray the liquid.
5. Bthing:drip 8~10 drops of oil into the bathtub which is full of hot water and stir it evenly.
And then bath in the tub for 15~20 minutes. After bath, clean the body with body shampoo.
6. Compress:3~6 drops of oil into the hot water and stir it evenly. Wet a towel with the water and wring it out. Compress the towel upon the right position of the body.
Effection of sandalwood oil:
1. Blancing oil secretion of skin;
2. Relieving anhypnia;
3. Improving the ability of poison removing of lym/span>
Storage of sandalwood oil
1.It is recommended to store in a cool, dry and well ventilated areas and out of direct light.
2. Store away from sources of heat or ignition. Keep containers well sealed when not in use.
