About Amyris Oil: Amyris (Amyris balsamifera) comes from the Rutaceae botanical family. It is also known as West Indian/Indies sandalwood, which originates from the West Indies, specifically in Haiti. The oil is extracted from wood chips of the tree. Its aroma is sweet and smoky. It is now widely cultivated in West Indies and in South and Central America. As with all essential oils, never use them undiluted, do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner.
Blend With: Cedarwood, lavender, oakmoss, peru balsam, ylang ylang
Precaution: Keep away from children. Not to be used without dilute.
Used: This herbal oil helps in improving mental clarity and makes you feel at peace. It has been used to treat influenza and diarrhoea, and has been found effective as a mosquito repellent. The essential oil is used as a base fixative in making perfumes and soaps.
