Alumina

CrownRe offers a series of promoted alumina for a variety of functions including thermal stabilization of the structure,and acidity of the alumina surface. Some of the promoters include Lanthanum, Cerium, Praseodymium, Neodymium, Silicon,Titanium, Zirconium and Barium.The promotion can be a single le chieved via impregnation, drying , or co-precipitation. And the BET of some of them are up to >65 m²/g, at 1200℃ 4hrs, shows exnt performance.

CrownRe offer Gamma silica/Lanthana modified alumina, which are applied as catalyst in refining or diesel engine exhaust control. And we also can customize to produce kinds of formula, like 5% Si, 95%Al; 5% La, 95% Al; 30% Si,70% Al etc. CrownRe markets a wide range of doped materials. Silica/Lanthana doped materials are sold worldwide under the trade names CrownAl for their silica-alumina hydrates and oxides respectively.

The know-how gained from the production of high purity alumina products has been carried over to our range of doped materials so that the quality of the products is uncompromised and manufactured to the same high standards. The use of dopants affects the sical properties of alumina in many ways. CrownAl is not only more thermal stable than high purity aluminas but they are also more acidic materials.

Both the hydrate and the oxide are suitable carriers for catalytic processes where surface acidity is required to enhance the catalytic activity.
