1ã ADPS Introduction
ADPS, also known as N-ethyl-N - (3-sulfopropyl) -3-methoxyanium salt dihydrate, is a commonly used chromogenic substrate for horseradish peroxidase HRP or peroxidase POD. Its appearance is pure white crystal powder, with a purity of over 99%, and a range of 5.5-9.5, with an absorption wavelength of up to 540nm. It has obvious advantages of high water solubility and high color sensitivity.
2ã ADPS color rendering principle
The main principle of its action is that under the catalysis of POD, hydrogen peroxide couples with ADPS and 4AA to oxidize to produce quinone imines, resulting in an increase in absorbance at 500nm. Just like blood glucose detection, when blood glucose, oxygen, and water are catalyzed by POD, they will generate gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide, and the generated hydrogen peroxide can be measured using the coupled oxidation system of ADPS. At this point, the degree of increase in absorbance is directly proportional to blood sugar. By measuring the increase in absorbance using spectrotometer, the amount of blood sugar can be measured.
