A Gate Valve is a valve which opens by lifing a round or rectangular gate/wedge out of the path of the fluid. It is always with two different stem(Non-rising Stem & Rising Stem).
The main difference between Rising Stems Gate Valve & Non-Rising Stems Gate Valve lies in the name itself: Rising and non-rising.
A rising stem gate valve will have a stem that lifts out of the gate valve's body, needs more space when installation. A Non-rising Stems Gate Valve,the stem will not rising when opening or closing the gate valves, the stem is in gate valve's body.
