Wax primer is a type of mineral polymer coating that is applied on metal, concrete and cement surfaces and protects them from corrosion, moisture and corrosive agents by waxing the surface. Wax primer has the following properties:
- It does not require any substrate or sandblasting and can be applied on rust and paint.
- It has high penetration and adhesion and reaches the actual surface of the metal.
- It is weldable and guarantees welding operation with high conductivity.
- It is resistant to heat and cold, bending and stretching, acid, alkali and chlorine ions.
- It has easy, fast, uniform and simple execution and repair.
- It does not have an expiration date and does not spoil in storage.
For applying wax primer, you can use a brush, roller, pistol or airless. You should be careful to use only oil thinner to dilute wax primer and avoid adding any other solvent. Also, you should apply it in two layers and apply the second layer before the first layer dries.
