Update on previous request for potential supplier: According to Australian Standards I am looking for a supplier for Mobility Scooters with: Three wheels. 500W or smaller motor. Weight of unladen scooter less than 110kg. Maximum speed of 10 k(limited to this speed). Scooter must fit in a Wheel Chair Accessible Taxi vehicle and not use floor space greater than 1300 long, 1500 high and 800 wide. Must be key operated on off switch. Headlight and taillight - LED; Lights to be placed higher than 350 mm above the ground. Orange indicator lights. Have four tie down points - two at the front and two at the back. Have clearance lights (on side of scooter and NOT flash). Have a reflective flag. Reflectors on the back of the scooter. Mirrors - available both sides. Seat Belt. One seat - swivel option. Brakes - drum X 3 (Hand Brake). Climbing capacity up to 20 degrees. Charging time - 6 - 8 hours (we are 240 volts in Australia). Load Capacity - 150 kg. Range - minimum 30 km. Accessories - basket, tools, etc. Unfolded. Wheels - 14 16", aluminium alloy. Storage pod on rear or available as an accessory. I would like to bring two or three into Australia for testing against AS NZ 3696, quality testing and before initial order - if possible.
