My wife and I are moving to Kenya where she is from, and we've d quality mattresses as a huge need for the non-wealthy class. There are a handful of successful and large mattress retailers, but their service market is generally the relatively affluent west of Nairobi. We have plans to set up small shops throughout the other lesser served areas such as Kitui, Makueni, Kitengela, along the Mombasa Highway between Nairobi and Mombasa, and eventually various points west. We are at the initial stage of our journey. Once we've established a supplier, we will begin acquiring storefront locations and or build on land we already have the title deed for. With her dad who has been in private business for several decades in Kenya as well as a bevy of associates, we're eager to set up shop and introduce higher quality mattresses in areas where the most common mattresses are of poor quality, where foam mattresses are unheard of, and where there is virtually no competition other than resellers of the same cheap mattresses produced locally.
