Hello, I am writing from Yellow Leaf Hammocks. We are a lifestyle brand specializing in handwoven hammocks and other home outdoor products - based in the U.S. with production in Thailand. We are developing a hammock for a large cruise ship company (we'll be supplying hammocks for all of their ships) that needs to meet certain requirements for UV resistance and be flame retardant. We are seeking yarn suppliers who can provth yarn that meets our requirements fire resistance. We recently learned that our existing hammocks won't pass the needed certification for flame retardant requirements so we are now under a deadind an alternative yarn to use in the production of our hammocks. We came across your company and from browsing your website, it appears you may be able to produce the type of yarn we are looking for. Can you review the information below and let me know if this is something you can assist us with? Requested Fiber Samples: Modacrylic , Polyester , Anefil Poly, Avora, Trevina, Nomex, Kevlar, PTFEOther other flame retardant yarn if you have other suggestions.The selected yarn will be tested for UV resistance and must meet certain requirements for non-combustible, flame retardant standards. We will be sending samples to a lab for testing, so the lab will ultimately determine whether it meets our requirements. Unless you already have the needed certifications, we will be sending the yarn to a lab to get it certified prior to placing any orders.Sample volume: Min. 2 kg per yarn colorSample color: Red, OrangeNote, it is ok if the initial sample is not orange or red, as long as you have capabilities to produce the final order in these colors. Sample Shipping Address: Can be mailed to our headquarters in San Francisca, CA USA or to ae, Thailand.Order Size: Initial order will be in the range of 5.3 million meters or 5,000 to 10,000 kg. We expect to order more over time. From our research thus far, we know that modacrylic yarn would meet our requirements for UV resistance and flame retardant. We've also found that some polyester yarn may work as well.We are hoping to find a yarn that is a bit thicker than what we're using in our Signature Hammocks, omething that has a similar thickness as our Cotton Rope Hammocks. Are you able to spin create yarn to a custom thickness for our needs (in the range of 500D and 2000D)? Are you able to send samples to our office for review?
