The Habitat system is ATEX EX certified for use in Zone 1 & 2. The main components of the Habitat concept are the special flame retardant flexible panels which are zipped together and sealed with Velcro. This allows any size and shape of Habitat to be created. There are two different types of penetration panels which allow the Habitat to accommodate multi-level pipework runs and cable trays. The penetration specially detail eliminates the need for panels to be manufactured or cut on site. The welding Habitat can be constructed to include an air lock. This is typically used when building large scale welding habitats. There is also an escape configured panel to allow easy access to a predetermined escape route. The habitat is inflated and the positive pressure maintained by an air fan which is ran from either a dedicated air compressor or by instrument air. The working environment inside the habitat is quiet and vapour free. The fumes are extracted to a safe area by an air move.
