OverviewTwo Valley Produce (Fiji) Pte Limited was established with the vision and goal of helping unprivileged Fijian indigenous farmers to gain access to new markets for their produce through participation in fair trade activities. The farmers have the produce but don’t have the capacity to bring to market. Two Valley Produce (Fiji) Pte Ltd will bridge the gap. Two Valley Produce is not only marketing the produce but have long term partnerships with local indigenous authorities to provide commercial and technical guidance to train the farmers so that we can build a consistent and quality controlled supply chain. Fiji has been renowned for best quality produce but there was always a problem of consistent supply. Individual farmers doing farming on small scale are unable to meet the demand of providing consistent supply all year round. To address this problem, Two Valley Produce(Fiji) Pte Ltd has implemented a co-operative cluster system. We are working with a total of 21 clusters which is made of 3500+ farming families, comprising of more than 15,000 people. We are also establishing an additional farm on a 104 acres of land which will have over 149,000+ trees and will be first of its kind in the South Pacific. The demo farm will have a world-class nursery, a lab and also a high-end information center which will provide all the necessary information to our farmers and to the general public. We will train the farmers of what to plant, when and how. They will be provided with financing, full managed support, technical expertise, and training. We will do the soil test to determine which plant will best suit soil type plus the farmers will be provided with the quality seedlings from our nursery so that they can produce optimum yields from their farms. Currently the majority of the farmers are working with primitive farming techniques. From the information centre, farmers will be able to know which plants they have to grow, how much yields they will get, what is the market rate and how much money will they make from their crop. Two Valley Produce will train farmers and provide them the quality seedlings and enable them to produce quality yields which we then in turn buy from those farmers, providing a one-stop shop for the producers from our cluster. We will equip them with skills, equipment and knowledge in order for them to increase their yields from their farms and to also teach them to diversify. ClusterWe have formed these village co-op clusters located high in the Fijian mountains. There is no road access to their farms. The current access is by horse or foot. Farmers have to walk for 8-10kms from their homes to reach their farms. Every week, one representative from each village will make their way to the town with a list of things to buy on behalf of the villagers.Corporate Social ResponsibilityTwo Valley Produce (Fiji) Pte Ltd offers the farmers a profit share model, where not only will we be paying significantly higher prices for the produce, but we will be donating 10% of the profits made back directly to the cluster in order to improve their livelihoods and future. We will be building schools, churches, health centers, power generators, transport supply chains and also community halls.
