After more than two decades of our research across the developing communities of Cameroon cocoa growing regions, Sustainable Cocoa Farmers Association understands that many cocoa producers are smallholders farmers in many communities of Cameroon, but with some initiative that they want to increases cocoa production. Sustainable Cocoa Farmers Association is an NGO with the goal of improving Cameroon agricultural systems through targeting of the cocoa sector and it nearly 200 000 smallholder farmers that depend on cocoa for their livelihoods. Cocoa is an economic engine in rural areas of the tropics in Cameroon, generating improved and much needed incomes and opportunities for families and communities. Realizing this potential, however, requires that cocoa farmers receive the knowledge, training and assistance they need to move from subsistence farming to a truly sustainable model that allows them to succeed and prosper. Sustainable Cocoa Farmers Association focuses on programs that work towards improved and more equitable returns for cocoa farmers. SUCOFA and partners operate group-training workshops models which promote production and encouragement between cocoa producing communities. All of our programs are designed to improve sustainability. our desire is to provide technical and financial support to more than 37 programs in some 300-5000 communities and equipped more than 200,000 young and old cocoa farmers to join the cocoa production industry and lift themselves out of poverty.
