Kapok (Kapuk) Fiber is a natural cellulosic fiber, obtained from a tropical plant that grows in Indonesia. Ceiba Pentandra is the binomial
name of Kapok Tree. The Kapok Fiber has a similar structure to cotton but has a hallow fiber.
As a natural fiber, it has advantageous characteristics such us biodagrable, anti bacterial, light and soft, buoyancy, water resistance also thermoregulation.
Application of Kapok Fiber :
Kapok Fiber is widely used in bedding and upholstery industries as a filling material for pillow bolster, cushion, stuffed toys and for insulation.
