What does Mycorrhiza mean?
Mycorrhiza is a a beneficial type of fungi that grows in association with most plant roots. Unlike most types of fungus, mycorrhiza has actually been shown to be beneficial to plants.
Consequently, they are commonly used as quality and growth enhancers when it comes to horticultural and agricultural crops.
Mycorrhizae increase the root's ability to absorb nutrients and water from the soil by increasing the surface absorbing area of roots from 100 to 1,000 times. Mycorrhizae also release powerful
enzymes that help dissolve nutrients such as organic nitrogen, phosphorous, and iron.
Mycorrhiza may also be known as fungus root. The plural form is Mycorrhizae.
Advantages of Mycorrhizal Biofertilizers:
1- 70 to 300% increase in plant growth depending on soil type and environmental conditions
2- Increase crop up to 50% depending on soil and environmental conditions
3- Reducing water consumption to 600%).
4. Increase of root absorption and absorption of macro nutrients (phosphorus, nitrogen, potassium, calcium ...) and micro elements (iron, zinc, magnesium, etc.) even in poor soil
conditions
5- Increase plant resistance to all pathogens, nematodes, harmful fungi and diseases
6- Increasing the resistance of the plant to stress of soil and water salinity, as well as dryness and dehydration
7. Reduce damage caused by all biological and non-biological stresses
8. Increased resistance to frost and heat loss of plants and crops
9. Create optimal growth conditions in adverse weather conditions
10. Increase plant resistance to a variety of heavy metal stresses
11. Generate growth stimulators such as auxins and cytokinins, etc. in the plant
12. Reduce the number of seedlings destroyed against damage caused by displacement
13. Biological link with non-absorbable phosphate-soluble microorganisms for plant and many other benefits
